Ducati 916

Designed by Massimo Tamburini. Mean aggressive, and massively fast. And beautiful to look at in a way its successor, the 999, will never be. Launched
in 1995, the ducati 916and its later iterations- the 996 and the 998 showed Japanese manufacturers a thing or two in world super bike races. The 916’s underseat exhausts were an attempt to improve aerodynamic performance but at the same time they helped give the Ducati 916 a clean and and stunning profile. The company claimed 144 horsepower and 300 kmph top speed for the 916, and while that might not really be true for the road going bike, it still did enough to earn the undying devotion of Ducati fans world wide. The single sided swing arm with single Ohlins shock functions well and takes unneeded weight off the rear end. Today a similarities can be seen between the Ducati 916 and the more modern MV Augusta F4, especially in the tail section.
