BRITTEN V 1000
Some of our best early 1990s memories are those of watching on television Britten V1000s thundering past Ducati 851s in various BoTT races. Those strangle looking Brittens, with their Hossack-design front ends and pink/blue paintwork, wouldn’t so much overtake the Fast by Ferracci Decatis as completely blow them into the weeds john Britten, of New Zealand the man who designed the bike from scratch passed away about ten years ago. What a terrible loss for the worldof very fast, very unique motorcycles. Britten’s innovative ideas brought him the joy of seeing his creation competing against Japanese and European racing bikes of the time and actually winning.
