TVS Flame CC-VTI revised

The TVS  Flame which was released earlier has been revised with added patches to compete with the other similary category of bikes. How ever the peak power has not been changed in the revised engine though maximum torque has dropped to 10Nm from previous 10.4Nm. Max torque and torque is produced lower in range, 7500rpm and 6000rpm respectively which were 8250rpm and 6250rpm. Consequently the new Flame is impressively quick, in fact 60kmph takes 6.5 seconds while 80kmph comes in 12.6 seconds. Roll on time has too increased, 30-70kmph roll on takes 65 seconds in third gear and 9.49 seconds in forth.Top speed however has dropped from 102.1kmph to 983kmph.On the ghasts the Flame feels cumbersome thought it feels well planned in straight line and scored high on high speed stability. Long sweeping curves are handled with elan but tighter corners are a concern some what. The revised gearing and power band rather than chassis are to blame.
