The Nissan engineers aimed to meet the objective of producing a car to challenge performance and dynamics of the Porsche 911Turbo, which would need a unique platform. This fifth generation GT-R is built on a new platform named Premium midship. It is hybrid structure including steel, die cast aluminium and carbon fibre and has to incorporate complex drive line, a twin turbo 3.8 liter V6 engine with dual clutch, six speed semi automatic gear box ahead of rear axle and variable four wheel drive. This layout requires the GT-R to have top prop shafts one made in spun carbon fibre running at engine speed and the other two-piece in steel, transmitting torque forward to the front wheels. It is heavy and weighs 1740 kilograms which is 200 kilograms more than a 911 turbo. Its engine produces 480bhp which makes its performance more remarkable. It is absolutely stylish and a sports beast, has a sexy interior and meets almost all requirements of a sports version.</p>
